Using my system, you can make millions per turn by turn#300 but you have to be very aggressive and focused. By turn #400, you can make 5 to 16 million per turn.

I have made it work on even small sectors with 8 billion though it's a struggle as they have so few people that there can be an insufficient population and you have to micromanage ie turn off the manager tab and adjust production by hand which is annoying. With more than 200 colonial sectors, that would be infuriating.

You could make far more money doing it by hand but it would drive you crazy. A couple of times I had very large numbers of sectors and trying to adjust them all individually and it took 8 hours to get through a single turn. No thanks.

The ideal way is to do the following in conjunction with my commodity manipulation method.

1. You note which sectors lack a resource. Those obviously will need supplementation.
2. You manipulate commodity prices but at first badly need titanium so set up some resource routes.
3. You stop making resource routes and instead just add what is required by completing construction early by paying for rushing, sell based on that rushing, then buy what you need that arrives next turn, then sell off the rise due to demand. Those 4 steps are what you do from turn #50-300 or so and maybe 400 for some players.
4. You then end up with 10 million in the treasury. You can rush starships and make 10 million a turn.
5. Now you have more than you can ever spend. You then might have 225 to 250 colonial sectors, and so create some resource routes, not many as most places have totally completed all basic infrastructure.
6. Certain minor races can make good starships after you redesign them, so they may need resource routes. I'll bet 40 to 50 colonial sectors have access to deritium and necessary ore and crystals and so you can rush that many starships in a single turn! I'm serious.

All colonial sectors should have their defenses complete and 10 level 6 troops.
7. Now you can coast as making money is simply unnecessary. For example, I have 70 million, so what do I need money for? I literally cannot spend it but it GROWS. I could spend 17 million in a turn and end making 25 million so a profit of 8 million. It will grow.

Lest you think this is implausible, the USA was so furious after the Pearl Harbor bombing that we could construct an entire vessel in 40 days and had a record of fabricating one in under 5 days.

Millions of motivated ship builders and ancillary workers and a wartime economy can do astounding things based on total industrial capacity and having the natural resources and adequate workers. And realize many were ladies who had NEVER worked outside the home before and suddenly were welding.

During that same time, 1200 combat ships were fabricated.

Just by itself, Germany constructed 1000 submarines alone during WW2.

In war, it is significant to make more vessels, but what is more significant is making effective fleets that work like carrier strike forces.

Germany made 1,000 submarines and sunk 2,000 ships and terrified the world and everyone feared U boats.

But the USA had more effective tactics and while making 316 submarines, they destroyed 1,029 ships.

I built up this gigantic treasury and just spent about 88 million doubling my level 6 Omega troops plus transports. The Cartare and Rotharians and Khaoran are puny but allied and so I need a massive invasion and fleets to do it.

By creating starships like Vi dreadnoughts, I can make 22 million a turn, but it's weird making money from spending money as that is exactly the opposite in real life. It should bankrupt empires.

Edit:correction 28 million/turn. It is wild rushing a 100 starships and making 28 million in the same turn.

You can scrap outposts and starbases and make cash and get some natural resources back as part of the recovery process, so you probably could do the same with either sabotage stolen starships and ones you created too.

Because you can only build up a cache of 125,000 for titanium or any resource, it is better to use it, then have your miners doing nothing, and also then send those starships to get combat training and max out on experience.

Six players could work together and build a scenario this way. It would take about a month to get to turn#400, and then just wage full on galactic war. That would take me six months because I have to play all six empires. I'm surprised no group has stepped forward as that would be really challenging and quite fun to play.
