Game Boosters

I had a weird problem with a game booster interfering with BotE. I run one typically while gaming as Android devices that are unrooted will run unnecessary programs and so waste memory. That is especially so when the wifi is on. This is problematic for multiplayer games.

To run BotE most efficiently, do a cold boot. Run any cleaner to remove junk files and turn off unused programs. Then exit that cleaner. Then run BotE. This works.

For hundreds of hours, the game booster worked fine until about turn 640+. Then it started slowing down turn times as the galaxy map was 80% revealed, hundreds of ships were in motion, hundreds of sectors were adding construction, all the resource routing was constantly being changed, etc.

The game booster now is useless and adds no benefit at advanced turns.

I have a low end Android tablet, and I routinely use an optimizer.

You can still multitask. You can create a folder of music. And put say ten songs in there. I put TrekCore Star Trek music and ambient sounds like the hum of the warp core form engineering, and bridge ambient noise. You can use VLC player or Google's mp3 player. You can download mp3s based on science fiction shows. It completely changes the mood with tension during battles. It's enjoyable and optimization makes BotE work well even with LOTS of ships across LOTS of colonies on a giant map.

If low on memory, and you load a whole huge file of mp3s, then whatever music player is running may load and not release mp3s in the queue, so it might make your low end system lag when BotE is running. That is why seperating music into files is better.
